A very candid beach photography session in Prince Edward County

Beach sessions in late August at the most beautiful provincial parks Ontario has to offer! Nestled in Prince Edward County this family photography session really captures a playful and candid tone. With a baby around a year and two twin toddler boys there is no structure, only fun. Beach photography sessions are great in this family dynamic because its less stressful for parents to know that the goal in capturing these kinds of photos is genuine fun, being silly, laughing and being yourself. There is no pose for the perfect picture but instead genuine happiness and curiosity captured, that and a cute fit!

Some little ones are really great a "Hamming it up" for the camera and just love to be in the spotlight. This is so sweet and I love to capture little portraits of these big personalities but sometimes this can be hard for some younger kiddos. It's not normal to expect children to be still and silent for a prolonged amount of time. Adding fun and movement into my family photography session is something I feel really helps me bring out more personality in my family photography and allows parents to see the smiling faces... the real ones... they actually want to see! Always striving for the most real smiles, real laughter and purest of little moments in childhood. I say this as a mom of two who are growing so fast I can see both the beauty of growth and the tragic loss of time. I try to honour this in all of my sessions with families.

Some helpful things to consider when booking your beach family session! Instead of looking on Pinterest to find inspiration come without expectations of someone else's experiences. I am a professional and have been photographing families for 15 years and I want to create en experience that is unique to your story not someone else. Pinterest is great for inspiration and art, but come to your family sessions and know that we are here to capture your experiences in a beautiful place with the most sincere smiles! While inspiration is welcome and Pinterest is great, creating our own beautiful images will be so much nicer then trying to copy someone else's !
